Know all about the CTET exam
There are basically two exam papers in this. The first one is called Paper 1 and the second one is Paper 2. The first paper is for candidates who want to become the elementary teacher who teaches students from class 1 to 5. Furthermore, candidates who wish to teach students of classes 6 to 8 must appear for the second paper which is paper 2. In total, there are 150 objective based questions (MCQs). For every correct answer, candidates get a reward of 1 mark with no negative marking scheme for wrong attempts.
As far as modules are concerned, you should have a good knowledge about the teaching and relevant profession expertise. It means the modules which you have to cover are child development and pedagogy, maths and science and many other subjects.
Paper I: What does it cover in the CTET exam?
Child Development and Pedagogy, along with 2 language papers (Language I and Language II), Mathematics, and the Environmental Studies. All these sections are divided into 30 marks each with the same number of questions. Thus, the total weightage of this paper will be 30×5 meaning 150 questions and the allocated time will be of 2.5 hours meaning 150 minutes only.
Paper II: What does it cover in the CET exam?
Three modules like the Paper I Child Development and Pedagogy, along with 2 language papers (Language I and Language II) will be the same, but Maths and Science will be there along with the alternative section called social studies and the social science subjects. The marks weightage will be the same which is 150 marks and the allocated time will be of 2.5 hours which is 150 minutes.
There will be an OMR sheet to fill answers and choosing the right one will help you in clearing the same.
